For buildings that currently have a different use and are converted into residentialbuildings (offices, shops, hotels, warehouses) the minimum investment amount is€250,000 - The change of use must be completed before the application for theresidence permit is submitted. The limit is also set at €250,000 if the investment is in a listed building that is to berestored. Investors can rent the properties they acquire, but they are not allowed to short-termleases, and in cases of conversion into a residence, their use as a headquarters orbranch of a business is also prohibited.
